Los Angeles, Aug 19 : The late actor Anne Heche once warned Portia de Rossi to stay away from her ex-partner Ellen DeGeneres.
A video of the “Hung” actress in which she advised Portia against meeting Ellen has surfaced in the aftermath of the actress’s death, according to showbiz.com.

In the summer 2021 episode of the late star’s “Better Together” podcast, with co-host Heather Duffy, she recalled telling the Aussie star not to try to establish a relationship with the comedian because it could end badly as she did with her.

“By by the way, I’ve had warned her about it,” she told her co-host.

“Portia even wanted to know about Ellen.Portia attended my wedding due to me being watching “Ally McBeal’ with her.Portia even declared, ‘I’m going to the wedding after Ellen.’ ”

Anne stated to Heather she had told her that she revealed to Portia that in her three-year partnership with Ellen from 1997 until 2000, they were viewed as the face of the LGBTQ community.

“‘You will not be the poster girl girl, because you’re right, that poster child is already taken by another person’,” Anne recalled as having said to Portia.

“‘And I’ll tell you, it’s not an ideal spot.But, it’s not going to be any more difficult.I’m telling you right now,’Red flag, red flag red flag!”

In spite of the caution, Portia went on to marry ‘The Ellen DeGeneres show host in 2008, and then celebrated their 14th anniversary of marriage in the last week.

“It’s nice to feel loved.It’s profound when you are understood,” Ellen gushed in an Instagram post with a collection of videos of the most hilarious moments they had on her previous show “I love you @portiaderossi.Happy 14th birthday!”

The podcast was revived after Anne’s co-host Heather paid tribute to the late actress who died after suffering thermal and smoke-related injuries after a fiery car crash on the 5th of August.

“I needed to take a few moments to grieve the loss of my dear friend.

Anne was happy despite the difficulties she had to face in her own life.She was honest, even though she was in the business of made-up.

Sharing love and kindness in the world she was most passionate about even if, at times the world did not return the favor,” Heather continued.

“Fly without fear, my dear friend.The world wasn’t designed for a woman as beautiful as you.”
