The work of Lalu Prasad Shaw famously depicts various kinds of people engaged in diverse pursuits, such as romantic relationships as well as the Babu’s regular visits in the market to purchase fish and vegetables , or the Bibi depicted as looking at or reading with a bird in a cage at her side.
Through these pictures the viewer is able to gain an insight into the artist’s work and also his pleasantly humorous view of life’s diversity and the way it is lived.
