The grand residence of India’s President, Rashtrapati Bhavan, has taken a significant step in response to urgent appeals.Letters written by TDP General Secretary, Nara Lokesh, and MP Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar on September 26, requesting President Draupadi Murmu’s intervention in the arrest of TDP Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu in the AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) case, have been sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for necessary action.

In confirmation of this development, a letter was dispatched to Lokesh from the President’s Office. This communication was signed by Rubina Chauhan, the Deputy Secretary at Rashtrapati Bhavan, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter.

During their meeting with the President, TDP leaders submitted a representation, earnestly seeking her involvement in Naidu’s arrest. In their letters, they explained that Naidu’s apprehension in the skill development case appeared to lack substantial evidence and seemed motivated by political animosity.

The TDP leaders astutely pointed out a significant detail: the FIR did not mention the names of Premchandra Reddy, the former Managing Director of APSSDC, and Ajeya Kallam, the former Finance Secretary who now serves as the Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister. These individuals were the authorized figures responsible for disbursing funds in the project, yet their names were conspicuously absent, casting doubt on the proceedings.

Additionally, the leaders contended that any tax evasion connected to companies associated with DesignTech should not implicate the Government of Andhra Pradesh, as it bore no direct involvement in the matter.

This development signifies a crucial turning point, where the highest echelons of power are set into motion by impassioned appeals for justice.

The Ministry of Home Affairs now holds the reins, and many eyes are fixed on the outcome of this significant step.
