When asked about his favorite singer from India, AR Rahman acknowledged the multitude of singers who possess unique identities and refrain from copying others.

AR Rahman, originally named AS Dileep Kumar, was born in Madras in 1967.
His father, a film-score composer for Malayalam and Tamil movies, passed away when Rahman was young, and he was raised by his mother, Kareema.Professionally, he excels as a music composer, singer, songwriter, record producer, and philanthropist.
Throughout his illustrious career, AR Rahman has received numerous accolades for his exceptional contributions to the Indian music industry.His achievements include six National Film Awards, a Golden Globe Award, BAFTA Award, two Grammy Awards, two Academy Awards, 15 Filmfare Awards, and more.In recognition of his talent and dedication, he was bestowed with the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in India, in 2010.Presently, AR Rahman is in discussions to compose music for Dhanush’s upcoming film, D50.
