Madrid 9 September : Spain will start the fourth dose of vaccine against Covid-19 on the 26th of September The announcement was made by the Ministry of Health.The decision was taken during an assembly of the Public Health Commission, which includes representatives of the 17 autonomous communities of the country, Xinhua news agency reported.
Aged over 80 or who reside in nursing homes are the first ones to get the booster.
The ministry announced that the first bunch of vaccines for Omicron variant.
Omicron variant will be delivered on Friday and be distributed the following week.
As of now over 95 million doses of vaccine have been given in Spain, with 40 million people receiving two doses.
