Chennai 27 August : The legendary Tamil film director Bharathiraja who was admitted to an in-house hospital in the city after he was confronted with a health issue, stated on Saturday he is on the path to recovery.He also urged the public not to come and visit him in the hospital because visitors are not permitted.In a statement his son Manoj Bharathi shared on social media, Bharathiraja, who is famous for a number of iconic films in Tamil including the Sivaji Ganesan-starring “Mudhal Mariyadhai,” stated, “My dear Tamil people I’m your dear Bharathiraja.I was admitted to a hospital recently for a health problem, and am now recovering thanks to the exceptional treatment and caring of medical professionals and doctors.
“I would like to respectfully ask my loved ones to not visit me in person since visitors are not permitted in the hospital.I hope to be cured soon and be able to see everyone in person.
“I want to extend my sincere thanks to all who have graciously inquired and asked for prayers for me to recover in person or over the phone, as well as online following the announcement of my admission at the hospital.We will see you all soon.With sincere love, Bharathiraja.”
A lot of people have been concerned since the director was admitted to the hospital to receive treatment.Actress Radhika who was introduced by Bharathirajaa in the Tamil popular film ‘Kizhakke Rail’, recently lit candles and offered prayers to the director in an church in France.
