Bhopal on August 26 : On October 2 (Gandhi Jayanti) and the Congress will be hosting “Gandhi Chaupal throughout Madhya Pradesh, which will last until January 30 in an effort to reach out all the residents of Madhya Pradesh.From October 2 through January 30th The Congress will reach out to the people of the 23,000 villages through the ‘Gandhi Chaupal” wherein programs like Gandhi Bhajan – ‘Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye” will be sung along with the villagers.
The party’s grand old plan is to increase the party’s base in the state in anticipation of the 2023 assembly elections.
The Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) has directed districts and block-level cadre in advance to prepare for this purpose.
“It is mandatory for all Congress leaders and workers to go to Gandhi Chaupal.District and block-level workers will set a specific date and then submit their plans to the state committee.Chaupal will be held from 10 a.m.until 2 p.m.The event will be a time when Gandhiji’s mantra and bhajan will be chanted with the people of villages.” MPCC vice president and secretary of the organisation Chandraprabhas Shekhar told IANS.
Apart from Gandhiji’s bhajans, Gandhiji’s songs Vande Matram as well as social events will also be organized in the entire region in the local dialects.
The Nukkad Natak (programmes) on topics such as freedom fighters of the particular region, the struggle of the Congress to ensure freedom of the nation, the current socio-cultural and political situation and more are organized.
