San Francisco, Aug 17 : Meta-owned WhatsApp’s latest application for Windows does not require users to connect their phones for sending, receiving, or sync messages.According to The Verge The Verge, an update to WhatsApp’s website revealed that the updated Windows app is now out of beta and is available for download from the Microsoft Store.
In the past, users on Windows required downloading WhatsApp’s desktop app on the web, or access the messaging app via their browsers on the internet.
The app is now native to Windows and according to WhatsApp states, will make the app more efficient and responsive, the report stated.
The newly designed WhatsApp has a cleaner interface when compared with the earlier version of the app, but isn’t much different.
The most important alteration is that customers no longer have to connect their phones to sync messages between their smartphone and desktop application.WhatsApp has stated that it is currently developing an app native to macOS and iOS.
WhatsApp’s multi-device function has been fully tested and is now out of beta.This allows users to connect as many as four devices to their WhatsApp account without the need for an iPhone, and all while maintaining encryption from end-to-end.
