New Delhi, Oct 24 : Emir of the State of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday said that it is not permissible for Israel to be given an unconditional green light and unrestricted permission to kill.
“We say enough is enough, and it is not permissible for Israel to be given an unconditional green light and unrestricted permission to kill.
It is not permissible to continue ignoring the reality of occupation, siege and settlement,” Qatari Emir wrote on X.
He said that Qatar does not accept double standards and acts as if children’s lives do not count.
“It is not permissible to continue to ignore the facts of occupation, siege, and settlement. We are advocates of peace, we adhere to the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab initiative, and we do not accept double standards,” he wrote.
The Emir said that what is happening in Gaza is very dangerous, including trampling on all religious and worldly values, customs, and laws.
“In our time, cutting off water and preventing medicine and food should not be allowed to be used as weapons against an entire people,” the Emir said.
He also called for a regional and international stand against the dangerous escalation that threatens the security of the region and the world.
The Israeli armed forces have massed tens of thousands of soldiers, tanks, heavy armour and artillery along the Gaza border ahead of a much-anticipated ground assault which aims to crush Hamas in retaliation for October 7 attacks.
On Sunday, IDF unleashed the heaviest 24 hours of bombing since the Israel-Hamas conflict began two weeks ago, with media sources in Gaza saying 400 Palestinians were killed in strikes across the enclave.
As part of their aerial assault, the Israeli army and air force utilised the ‘Iron Sting’ weapon, described as ‘an innovative and accurate mortar bomb’.
IDF also shared a video of its latest weapon ‘Iron Sting’.The footage of the moment the 120mm mortar was released appears to show it decimating an enemy rocket launcher in what it said was a ‘precise’ attack’, Daily Mail reported.
“We call for an end to this war that has crossed all borders, to spare bloodshed, and to spare civilians from the consequences of military confrontation,” the Qatari Emir said.
He said that the war does not provide a solution of any kind, and all that will happen is an exacerbation of suffering, an increase in the number of victims, and a feeling of injustice.
As per the Hamas-run Health Ministry, since the war broke between Israel and Hamas, more than 5,000 people have been killed in Gaza.
