Anushka Sharma, a famous Bollywood actress, recently revealed in an episode of The Romantics that Aditya Chopra, the filmmaker who launched her in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, wanted to keep her debut a secret and even asked her to hide it from her parents.While shooting for PK, Anushka showed her audition tape for the movie 3 Idiots to director Rajkumar Hirani and actor Aamir Khan, who worked on the film.
The video showed Anushka auditioning for the lead role, which Kareena Kapoor eventually played.However, Hirani denied that she auditioned for the film, and Anushka was embarrassed.
Aamir praised her for not using glycerin while crying in the audition and ridiculed Hirani for rejecting her despite her excellent performance.
Anushka Sharma made her debut in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
She then acted in several hit movies such as Band Baaja Baaraat, Sultan, Dil Dhadakne Do, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Sui Dhaga, and more.In 2013, she launched her production company, Clean Slate Films, with her brother Karnesh Sharma.
She produced several films like NH10, Pari, and Phillauri, and OTT content like Paatal Lok, Bulbbul, and Qala.
However, last year, Anushka announced that she would be backing out of the company to focus on her acting career and her responsibilities as a mother.
She is married to cricketer Virat Kohli, and they welcomed their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021.
Anushka Sharma is all set to appear on screens again in the Netflix biopic, Chakda Xpress, where she portrays Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
