The state government of Telangana is in the process of establishing new mandals and revenue divisions as part of their election strategy to reach out to the voters across the Telangana.There is a growing demand for the creation of these new mandals and revenue divisions, particularly in the former Adilabad district, as elections approach.
Key leaders from the BRS, including ministers and incumbent MLAs, made commitments to create these new administrative units in response to the public’s demands.Failure to fulfill these promises could lead to disappointment among the residents, who have been agitating for a long time.
Amidst increasing demands for the creation of new mandals, the state government has responded by establishing several new administrative units in the state.These demands have intensified in the lead-up to the Assembly elections and are often presented to top leaders during their visits to various districts.
In a recent public meeting in Mancherial district, IT minister and BRS working president K.T.Rama Rao promised to bring the demand for the Chennur revenue division to Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao’s attention.
He also committed to creating two new mandals, Asnad and Porepalli, within the Chennur Assembly constituency.This followed a request from Chennur MLA Balka Suman, who highlighted the local community’s desire for a new mandal called Porepalli, encompassing specific villages along the banks of the Godavari River in the Kotapalli mandal, as well as a new Asnad mandal along the Godavari River in the Chennur mandal.
The state government has recently established three new mandals in the Adilabad district and issued orders for the Ponkal mandal in Nirmal district.Sonala mandal was created in the Boath Assembly constituency, while Bhoraj and Sathnala mandals were established in the Adilabad Assembly constituency in August.
Bhoraj mandal was formed by dividing the Jainad mandal, and Sathnala mandal includes several villages from the Jainad and Bela mandals, impacting tribal villages that were integrated into the Sathnala mandal.Residents of Boath mandal have been persistently demanding the creation of a Boath revenue division, with leaders from various political affiliations supporting this call.
