New Delhi, December 13, 2013 : .The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Monday’s special court, said Vishpala Parthasarthy was not one of the alleged suspects in the case against Sukesh Chandrashekhar, a multi-millionaire, under the PMLA.Jacqueline Fernandez, a Bollywood actress was quizzed several times by ED as a witness in this case.
Vishpala moved to Mumbai from her Mumbai home and sought anticipatory bail.
She was summoned by the ED to assist in the investigation.
The information states that she was questioned in March by ED at South Mumbai’s ED Office.
She had stated that she was 69 years old in her plea.Soon after the inquiry she received a surgical procedure and she has not been well since.
When ED called her to join the probe she had apprehension that ED might place her under arrest.She then moved before the court.
During the argument, special public prosecutor Atul Tripathi and PP Mohammed Feraz informed the court that the agency won’t make her an accused in the case after this the plea moved by Vishpala was withdrawn by her lawyer.
