The Andhra Pradesh state government has cancelled a cabinet meeting scheduled to be held today.State Cabinet Secretary Sameer Sharma said that the state cabinet meeting scheduled to be held today, on Wednesday 17th, at the Amravati Secretariat has been postponed.
However, he did not disclose the reasons for this.
Earlier, it was announced that an AP cabinet meeting would be held at the Secretariat on Wednesday at 11 am.The cabinet is expected to convene on Thursday to decide on the agenda bills in the wake of the Jagan government’s intention to hold a one-day assembly session on Thursday.
A notification has already been issued in the name of Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan that the AP Assembly will convene on November 18.It was revealed that the working days and agenda would be finalized at the BAC meeting.The meeting will have the opportunity to discuss key issues such as the special status of the AP and the funding from the Center.
It seems that the Jagan govt is focusing on implementing several key ordinances in this assembly session.The YCP government has issued about 14 ordinances since July, and the government hopes to get all of them to pass by the Legislature and the Legislative Council on the same day.
