New Delhi, Aug 15 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Monday, said that the nation’s waiting for 5G technology has ended and the advantages of “Digital India” will soon be available to all villages.In his address to the nation from the Red Fort on the 75th Independence Day, Modi said that India’s ‘Techade’ was now here with 5G and a local focus on mobile phone and semiconductor manufacturing.
“We are bringing the revolution through ‘Digital India’ at the smallest levels.Soon each village will be connected to the internet in the coming in the 5G age,” Modi said during his address on the ramparts of the Red Fort.
The Prime Minister is expected to officially start the 5G network at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) on September 29.
“From digital payment to semiconductor manufacturing and mobile We are in the midst of change that takes place in an age.Digital technology is changing our lives.It has transformed the economy, politics as well as society.” he emphasised.
“India is an aspirational country where change is driven by a common spirit,” Modi said.Modi.
After an auction that was successful for 5G spectrum the country is expected to see the launch of the eagerly awaited high-speed 5G mobile service in around a month’s time.
