However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted that he had a word with the Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, on the situation in the state.

Prime Minister Modi said that those affected by the floods and those injured were receiving assistance at the field level, and he suggested that everyone should remain safe.
