Social gathering is a big concern all these days as novel coronavirus is spreading rapidly everywhere.

Hence, The Telangana State government has issued an order not to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi this year.

On Monday, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, the minister for Animal Husbandry, held a meeting with Ganesh Utsav Samithis, Police, and various officials to take necessary precautions in containing Covid-19 during Navratri.

The minister has said this year no mandaps will be fixed at the street corners and Ganesh Idols should be set up at homes only.He urged the Youth wings and many welfare associations of the state to follow the orders and cooperate in restricting the Coronavirus in Telangana He promised to hold the celebrations of Bonalu and Ganesh Chaturthi in a grand manner next year if Covid-19 contains.

The 11-day festival of Ganesh Chaturthi starts from August 22 this year.People are very sad about this unforeseen situation as they are going to miss the prodigious zeal due to Covid-19.
