Qutub Minar row: Delhi court reserves order on plea of the ‘Agra royal family’

New Delhi, Sep 13 : A Delhi court on Tuesday reserved its decision on an intervention petition filed by a man who claims to be the heir of the royal family in Agra and seeking the ownership of Qutub Minar.
Additional District Judge Dinesh Kumar of the Saket court will make the decision on the 17th of September.

The appeal, filed by advocate M.L.Sharma, and filed by Kunwar Mahendra Dhwajprasad Singh who claims to be the heir of the province of Agra that is united.of Agra and wanted the right to the territory starting from Meerut to Agra it was a surprise in the temple restoration dispute.

The plea argued that the applicant belonged to the Beswan Family and heir of Raja Rohini Raman Dhawaj Prasad Singh and descendents of Raja Nand Ram who had died in 1695.

“When Aurangzeb became firmly established as the throne’s incumbent, Nand Ram submitted to the Emperor and was awarded with the Khidmat Zamindari, the managing the revenue of Joar and Tochigarh,” read the plea.

In 1947, during the reign of Raja Rohini Raman Dhawaj Prasad, British India and its provinces became independent and free as the petition stated.But, following India’s independence of India in 1947 the Indian government never signed any treaty, nor was any accessionor there was a deal with the family of the rulers, the petitioner stated.

“The Central government, the state government of Delhi and the state government of Uttar Pradesh without due procedure of law, encroached on the rights of lawful of the person applying and abused the power of allotment, allocated and died with the assets of the person who applied,” it added.

The principal complaint in the case claimed that about 27 Hindu and Jain temples were destroyed and destroyed in 1198 under the leadership of the Slave Dynasty Emperor Qutub-ud-din-Aibak who constructed the mosque in the location of the temples.

The temples were demolished and desecrated under the orders of the Slave Dynasty Emperor.He constructed a structure at the same location and designated it the Quwwat-Ul-Islam Mosque, as per the demand.
