New Delhi, Aug 14 : Music composer-director-writer Vishal Bhardwaj’s film ‘Kaminey’, starring Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Amole Gupte and Chandan Roy Sanyal, celebrated its 13th anniversary on Sunday.Chandan who played the role of the gangster Mikhail Chandan recently went on a trip down memory lane and explained what the film brought to him.
“Calling” Vishal Bhardwaj his “mentor and guru”, he said: “I was in London performing the theatre when he picked me for the role of Mikhail.If it wasn’t because of Vishal sir, I believe I would be member of the theater group in London.”
The actor initially struggled to comprehend his character being a gangster.It was a tense role.
When he recalled the experience he explained: “Initially it was difficult to grasp Mikhail as a persona, as he was an gangster with different shades of his personality.Vishal Sir not only assisted me to to understand Mikhail better, but also helped me discover the layers I didn’t realize I had.”
Chandan was in the news for his outstanding role in the role of Bhopa Swami in the newest season of “Aashram”.He is currently getting ready for ‘Shehar Lakhot’ , which will air on Prime Video.
