The producer of the Don movie series, Ritesh Sidhwani, has announced that the third installment of the popular action thriller movie is currently being written.Farhan Akhtar, who directed the previous two Don films, will also direct this one.The lead role will be played by Shah Rukh Khan, as in the previous films.
The story of the movie has not been disclosed yet, and the team is waiting for Akhtar to finish the script.
Everyone is eagerly waiting to see the movie, which is currently in the scripting phase.
The original Don movie, released in 1978, starred Amitabh Bachchan.
Excel Entertainment, the production company owned by Sidhwani and Akhtar, obtained the rights to the movie, and in 2006, they produced a remake with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.The sequel, titled Don 2, was released in 2011, with Khan reprising his role and Akhtar directing once again.
The crime-drama series Dahaad, produced by Excel Entertainment, is currently being promoted by Sidhwani.The show is directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi and stars Sonakshi Sinha, Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah.
The story follows sub-inspector Anjali Bhaati’s investigation in a small town in Rajasthan and is available for streaming on Prime Video.
Sidhwani’s production company is also partnered with Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s Tiger Baby.Don 3 is one of the highly anticipated films that will be produced under this partnership.The first two installments of the franchise were massive hits at the box office, and fans of the series are excitedly waiting for the third installment to hit the theaters.
