New Delhi, Aug 20 : Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) V.K.Saxena, on Friday, demanded the immediate removal of 12 Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officers.In a formal announcement in an official announcement, the LG office stated that the Delhi LG has ordered transferor assignment/posting of 12 IAS officers.
The 12 officers who were transferred include Jitendra Nair (AGMUT 1990), Anil Kumar Singh (AGMUT 1995), Vivek Pandey (AGMUT 2003), Shurbir Singh (AGMUT 2004), Garima Gupta (AGMUT 2004), Ashish Madhaorao More (AGMUT 2005), Udit Prakash Rai (AGMUT 2007), Vijendra Singh Rawat (AGMUT 2007), Krishan Kumar (AGMUT 2010), Kalyan Sahay Meena (AGMUT 2010), Sonal Swaroop (AGMUT 2012) and Hemant Kumar (AGMUT 2013).
The decision comes following the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday conducted raids at 22 places in Delhi, the capital of India including the residence of Delhi the Deputy Chief Minister as well as Aam Aadmi Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party Manish Sisodia in connection with irregularities in the latest Excise law case.
Sisodia was included alongside with 14 other people in an FIR in connection with the alleged infractions in the formulation and implementation of Delhi Excise Policy by the CBI.
“We have been cooperating in the investigation and we will cooperate further.I haven’t committed any form of corruption.We know that the investigation agency CBI is being used to sabotage the investigation,” the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister stated after the CBI concluded its investigation at his home.
