New Delhi, Aug 21 : Wanted for a brutal murder and previously involved in several cases under the Arms Act and robbery, a notorious criminal was arrested by the Crime Branch after multiple raids as he was continuously changing his hideouts in the national capital, an official said on Monday.The accused was identified as Gulzar Ali, a resident of Sangam Vihar.
According to the police, a specific input was received that Ali, who is wanted in a murder case under the Narela Industrial Area police station, was hiding in Sangam Vihar, Delhi.“His specific location was traced.
Accordingly, a trap was laid at the place and Ali was apprehended,” said Special Commissioner of Police (crime) Ravindra Singh Yadav.
On interrogation, Ali disclosed that on March 25, he along with his associates made a plan to murder Imran, as he had stopped working with them.
“He was in regular contact with other associates and provided a knife to Satyam and Kishan to kill the deceased.When the deceased was consuming alcohol near Holambi Kalan, Delhi, they stabbed the deceased and fled from the spot,” said the Special CP.“His other associates have already been arrested in this case.But accused Gulzar Ali and his associate were evading arrest.
He had been continuously hiding across the city,” said the official.
