New Delhi, Aug 23 : The organizers of Legends League Cricket announced the complete program and venue for the second season of the competition on Tuesday.The tournament will be played starting on September 16 in six cities, of which five include Kolkata, New Delhi, Cuttack, Lucknow and Jodhpur.The location for Play-offs will be announced in the coming days.Eden Gardens, Kolkata will host the special match between Indian Maharajas and World Giants, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indian Independence.
All the grounds will be hosting three games, except for Jodhpur and Lucknow where two games are scheduled.
Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO of Legends League Cricket said, “The waiting is now over for our fans as well as viewers.
They can plan their games with the announcement of dates and fixtures.We will soon announce our ticketing partner together with the dates for release of tickets on the internet.With the lineup of famous players of the 10 nations in an entirely different format, I’m certain fans will witness thrilling performances on the pitch , and the season will be a success.”
“We do not have players from Pakistan for the coming season.We are soon to add several international players in the Draft.All of our Legends will be playing the all season with us and will not play in another League or commitments,” he added.
“For the final match of this season, we are considering Dehradun,” he further said.
Ravi Shastri, Commissioner, Legends League Cricket said, “We are going to amaze the cricketing crowd at these beautiful cricket grounds.This festival season , we will be hosting the carnival of cricket with Top Legends competing for the first Legends League Cricket Title.”
