World’s largest Indian parade outside of nation is held in New York

New York, Aug 22 : It was billed as the largest Indian event outside of the country The annual India Day Parade was held in New York City celebrating the 75th anniversary of India’s celebration of Independence.

Composer and singer Kailash Kher led a mass singing of “Hindustan Meri Jaan”.

Over forty floats have been exhibited by Indian companies and American companies such as Dunkin Donuts and entertainment companies such as ESPN and Hulu.

A plane carrying the Indian flag flew over the city before the event and afterwards.
