London 19th August : India batter Jemimah Rodrigues on Friday was forced to stop her current season with the Northern Superchargers in The Hundred because of an injury.Ireland’s Gaby Lewis has been selected to be her replacement in the tournament.
“Despite losing in the Superchargers opening game against Oval Invincibles, the India international showed glimpse of the kind of performance she can be capable of by scoring 51 runs from 32 balls” according to the official site of the tournament.

Gaby is the replacement for her from Ireland was took her T20 International debut in 2014 and has played 54 T20Is for Ireland to the present, scoring 1,161 runs at an average strike rate of 110.99 and a top score of 105 not out against Germany.She will be playing in The Hundred in between of an international series against the Netherlands.

“I am thrilled to be playing in The Hundred once again after having an experience last year.There will be a blur of commitments with Ireland as well as the Superchargers and I’m determined to make sure I help both teams as completely as I can.”

She was part of seven T20I matches in the summer and scored 54 against South Africa and 47 against Pakistan.

Gaby was also captain of the Irish team for the South Africa series in regular Laura Delany’s absence.
