Mumbai 17 Aug : Setting the tone for the Opposition during the Monsoon Session of Maharashtra Legislature, Shiv Sena leader and former minister Aditya Thackeray predicted that “the unstable administration of (Chief Minister) Eknath Shinde and (Deputy CM) Devendra Fadnavis will be shattered in the near future,” here on Wednesday.
In a conversation with the media, Thackeray Jr.said the Opposition is being pitted against “killers of democracy, and this corrupt government of dishonesty will certainly fall”.
“Its an unconstitutional rule which was unlawful from the beginning and comprised of untruthful and treasonous people,” .,” stated Thackeray abruptly, in the midst of the session.
Referring to the inciting statement by Shinde Group MLA Prakash Surve of Mumbai and the beating of the manager of a canteen by Hingoli MLA Santosh Bangar, he said that these were actions of “cowards” and those who are citizens of the state will prove them their true place.
Thackeray regretted that such language of threatening is taking place in the state of Maharashtra and is “not acceptable to the people” and pondered “who is the chief Minister”.
“Goons are not welcome in the Maharashtra politics.
If MLAs who threaten people to walk around in a free manner and freely, then you can predict what will affect the law and law and order in Maharashtra,” he added.
In his remarks on the cabinet expansion announced by CM Shinde, which has caused a lot of heartburn among the Shinde Group MLAs, Thackeray said that it is “not included the smaller parties or independents which are in support of it and there is no representation for women and even the Mumbaikar isn’t taken by the Shinde Group”.
“In this kind of situation there is no concern for the opinions of the farmers , or women. They are more concerned with the things they received (cabinet portfolios) or did not receive,” Thackeray pointed out.
He said that the initial batch of Shiv Sena legislators who transferred to the Shinde Group in June were not included in the cabinet, suggesting that loyalty is not a factor for them.
The son of the former CM Uddhav Thackeray reaffirmed the fact that “this government will fall” and a lot of the MLAs who resigned from Shiv Sena, will return to the party fold in the near future.
