Telangana state Minister for Forests and Environment Indrakaran Reddy participated in the Run for Peace organized on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti in Hyderabad.Minister Indrakaran Reddy flagged off the 10K, 5K and 2K run on Saturday under the auspices of the Botanical Garden Walkers Association under the name ‘Run for Peace’.
On this occasion, the Minister paid homage to Gandhiji.
Later, the Minister said that he was happy to organize the Run for Peace on the day of Mahatma Gandhiji’s birth anniversary.
He said the event was organized to remind Gandhiji’s services to the country, to convey his ideal life to the youth and to create awareness among the people on fitness.
In the current catastrophic situation, everyone needs to be physically fit.For this, people should walk and run at least for short distances and make it a part of the daily routine.On this occasion, the Minister congratulated the organizers.
Members of the Botanical Garden Walkers Association thanked the people of the city for their large-scale participation in making the Run for Peace a huge success.
