The counting of municipal election votes across Andhra Pradesh is currently in progress.Counting of votes for 10 wards has been completed in Mandapeta, East Godavari district.
The details of the winners were announced by the authorities.
According to officials, YCP candidate Pothansetti Prasad won the 1st ward with a majority of 232 votes.
In the 2nd ward, YCP candidate Chittoori Satish won with a majority of 44 votes.In the 3rd ward, TDP candidate Yaramati Gangaraju won with a majority of 236 votes.In the 4th ward, TDP candidate Gundu Rama Tulsi won with a majority of 148 votes.
5th Ward YCP candidate Ernie Prabhavati won with a majority of 224 votes.In the 6th ward, TDP candidate Kashina Kashi Vishwanadham won with a majority of 17 votes.7th Ward Independent candidate Savarapu Satish won with a majority of 40 votes.8th Ward YCP candidate Mandapally Ravi Kumar won with a majority of 192 votes.9th Ward TDP candidate Chundru Chinna Subbarao Chowdhury won with a majority of 11 votes.The 10th ward TDP candidate Sirangula Jyoti won with a majority of 70 votes.Officials will hand over the official documents to the winners later in the evening.
In total, TDP won 5 wards, YSRCP won 4 wards, and the other ward was won by an independent candidate.
