New Delhi, Aug 26 : Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad in his resignation letter claimed that the CWC members of making fun of him after the G-23 leaders sent an open note to Sonia Gandhi. “The only offense committed by the 23 top leaders who wrote the letter of concerns for the party was that they outlined the causes of the weakness in the party and suggested solutions.
Unfortunately instead of taking their views into consideration in an constructive and cooperative way, we were abused insulted, humiliated and vilified in an unintentionally scheduled gathering of the extended CWC meeting,” he said.
“In the month of August of 2020, when I and 22 of my senior colleagues including former Chief Ministers and Union Ministers, wrote to you in order to warn you of the disastrous drift in the party, the “coterie” decided to unleash their sycophants upon us and resulted in us being attacked humiliated, vilified and degraded in the most crude way feasible,” he added.
The veteran leader claimed that on the instructions of the group that manages the AICC today, his faux funeral procession carried out in Jammu and those who were guilty of this infraction were celebrated in Delhi by the General Secretaries of the AICC and Rahul Gandhi personally.

He declared, “Since 2014 and subsequently under the direction of Rahul Gandhi the INC has lost two Lok Sabha elections in a embarrassing manner.The INC has been defeated in 39 of the 49 Assembly elections that took place between 2014 and 2022.
“The INC won only four state elections, but was able to enter the position of a coalition in the form of six coalitions.Unfortunately the INC is in power in just two states, and it is a minor coalition with a partner in two additional states.”
He said that, since the elections of 2019 the state of affairs in the Congress has gotten worse.After the elections, Rahul Gandhi resigned in the middle of a “huff and without insulting all top party officials who have dedicated their lives for the party in an gathering of the expanded Working Committee, you took the presidency as interim president”.
