Lucknow 31 August : The most recent report of the National Crime Report Bureau (NCRB) is an enormous relief to the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh.According to NCRB information for the year 2021, 378 instances of violent communal conflict were recorded across the nation, of which just one instance was registered in Uttar Pradesh.
In contrast Maharashtra registered 100 instances, Jharkhand 77, Bihar 51 and Haryana 40.The report also stated that there was not a single instance of violence in the community was reported in the years 2019 and 2020.
The NCRB report also revealed that the number of crimes committed against women and children have drastically decreased in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the information there were 18,943 reported cases for child exploitation in Uttar Pradesh in 2019 and the number dropped to 16,838 in 2021.
The number of cases of crimes committed against women declined from 59,853 in 2019 , to 56,083 in 2021.
Crimes against women has decreased by 6.2 percent in 2021 as compared to.There was a decrease of 11.11 percent in the number of crimes committed against children.
The number of cybercrimes has also decreased in the country.In the year 2019, 11,416 instances of cybercrime were reported and decreased to 8,829 in 2021, which was the decline of 22.6 percent.
Prashant Kumar, ADG Law and Order said that the police in the state are executing their duties well, which is the reason for the decline in crime rates.
He said that NCRB figures also provide the evidence of the reduction in crime rates.
He stated that the rule of zero tolerance towards criminals would be maintained in the state and there will be no tolerance for criminals or crime at all costs.
Uttar Pradesh BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi said: “Now people of Uttar Pradesh are at peace.The NCRB figures just came in however, with the outcomes of 2022’s assembly elections, the people have granted its acceptance to the Yogi government.”
The Samajwadi Party, meanwhile, took aim at the Uttar Pradesh government and said that the state was “number one in deaths in custody”.
Responding on the NCRB report, Samajwadi Party spokesperson Sunil Singh Sajan stated: “The question is that when communal rioters as well as rioters have joined forces with the government, then naturally , the protests will be less.The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is prepared to debate the findings of NCRB riots , but will the members of BJP also discuss the facts of NCRB which says that Uttar Pradesh is number 1 in custodial deaths as well with being the top spot for atrocities committed against OBC Dalit, minorities and backward people.”
