Amsterdam 30 Aug : The strike of Dutch railroad workers is expected to begin its fourth day in a row on Tuesday, shutting down nearly all train services across the country and also to neighboring Germany.The strike by Dutch employees working for the state-owned railroad will bring the majority of trains in the Netherlands to an end of their journey, according to the dpa news agency.
The only rail lines that will be running are the regional links operated by other companies the rail company said on Monday.
Long-distance services between and to Germany will be halted completely.
Trains operating through the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony to the Dutch border towns of Heerlen, Venlo and Hengelo will also remain in service.
Railroad workers have called the strike to demand higher wages.
