By Archana Sharma Jaipur 29 Aug : The pathetic results of National Students Union of India (NSUI) in in the student union elections in Rajasthan has raised alarm bells for the grand old party in the state ahead of the 2023 Assembly elections in 2023.
The student section of the ruling Congress has suffered a devastating loss across the state, and was defeated in Gehlot’s home region of Jodhpur in Jaynarayan Vyas University and other colleges.
In the college of government of Tonk the area of Sachin Pilot, ABVP — BJP’s student wings won.
NSUI has suffered a major loss in Shekhawati University and SK College in Sikar in Sikar, the district home of Congress State President Govind Singh Dotasara.
In Jodhpur Ashok Gehlot’s son Vaibhav Gehlot did not make magic happen because despite his campaign and his campaigning, the NSUI candidate was not able to get the presidency in any of the major universities, even though many Congress ministers and lawmakers were involved within.
NSUI State President Abhishek Chaudhary hails from the Jodhpur district, however he also was unable to assist in winning.
Vishvendra Singh, Bhajanlal Jatav, Zahida and Subhash Garg are ministers from Bharatpur district, where NSUI was defeated yet again.The ABVP won in Maharaja Surajmal University in Bharatpur which is a district with four ministers and two board chairmen.
It also lost in Kota University and Colleges in Kota, in the area of UDH Minister Shanti Dhariwal, who is the next in place following the CM.
Mahendrajit Singh Malviya, and Arjun Bamania are both ministers from Banswara district.NSUI has also been unable to compete in Banswara district.NSUI is losing Maharaja Ganga Singh University and Veterinary University in Bikaner district, which is run by Minister BD Kalla and Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati.
NSUI has suffered a devastating loss in the tribal regions of Dungarpur as well as Banswara too.Dungarpur, in fact is the home state of Youth Congress State President Ganesh Ghoghra.
While the other leaders kept an eloquent silence about the loss, Congress MLA from Osian, Divya Maderna, came out in the open and stated that the main reason behind the demise of NSUI is that they did not give tickets to candidates who deserve them.Additionally there was an excessive amount of delays in giving out tickets and there was no focus on how for winning the elections.
Internal divisions were also a factor in the defeat, she said on her Twitter account.
In the meantime, other leaders are observing the trends and can be heard saying “Youth people are thought to be the trend-setters in the Assembly elections.
The demise of the student organization of the Congress in the areas of big leaders has revealed the mentality of young people for the party.
“Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has already announced that the focus will now be on the young Let’s check if we can gain ground until the Assebmly elections” A senior leader.
