Japan’s unemployment rate has risen to 2.8%

Tokyo, December 28th : .Japan’s November jobless rate increased to 2.8% compared with the previous month.This was because people were encouraged by the government to quit their jobs to find better opportunities during the recovery of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Seasonally adjusted unemployment rates increased by 0.1 percent from the previous month.This is the first rise in six months after Covid-19’s state of emergency in October.People were told to avoid unnecessary outings during this period, according to Xinhua news agency.

Separate government data from Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare shows that the November job availability ratio was 1.15, which means there were still 115 jobs available for 100 job-seekers.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, November saw 1.92 Million people without jobs, an increase of 100,000 over the month before.This was the highest number of unemployment in the past three months.

The number of people working in the telecoms and transport industries, as well as in postal and other activities has continued to rise, increasing by 9.3% and 5.5%, respectively, from last year.

According to the latest data, total work force remained stable at 66.24 millions.This was a seasonally adjusted number.
