Shenzhen : , Nov 20, 2018 – Consumer electronics brand TCL showcased a 4K monitor at the Global Display Ecological Conference, Shenzhen China. GizmoChina reports that the monitor features a super-high 4K resolution, a 240Hz refresh speed, 1ms response times, and the brand’s own image quality compensation algorithm.
The firm hasn’t yet disclosed pricing or availability, but the company can be expected to make the monitor available soon.
TCL usually manufactures displays only for OEMs that want to rebrand.
The possibility that this technology could be utilized by a partner is possible.
TCL appears to have halted plans for a cheaper foldable phone later this year.
TCL displayed a number of foldable prototypes and another earlier in the year at CES 2021.They also showed a rollable screen design.
The company showcased a Fold an Roll device in April that can expand from a 6.87 inch phone screen to an 8.85 inch phablet size or 10-inch tablet.
Although the company stated that it will not abandon its foldable product line, they do not know when their first folding device might be available commercially.
