Peshawar, Nov 24, : , Two police officers were killed in a firing incident in Pakistan’s Peshawar City, police reported Wednesday.Local police officers told local media that security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation Wednesday morning to arrest suspects from Hayatabad, Peshawar.
The suspects opened fire on two police officers, killing them instantly, according to police.They also managed to flee the scene after being surrounded by security forces.
Following the incident, the area was cordoned off and a hunt began to capture the assailants.
Unknown gunmen opened fire on a Peshawar police officer as he returned home from duty on Monday.
