K’taka Police to grill rape accused Lingayat seer

Chitradurga (Karnataka) Chitradurga (Karnataka) 3 : Chitradurga (Karnataka), Sep 3 : Karnataka Police will, on the weekend investigate alleged rape victim Lingayat seer Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru in connection with the sexual exploitative behavior of teenage girls.
Police sources have said that a group of officers led by the Investigation Officer Deputy SP Anil Kumar will begin the arraignment inside his office.

The team interrogated the seer in question in the afternoon on Friday, for two hours on the matter, they said.

Second District and Sessions Court Judge B.K.Komala has been scolding the prosecution for transferring the seer accused to a hospital without informing the court.

The authorities are likely to question the seer on allegations of sexual assault on girls who were minors.They are be expected to investigate the allegations that he committed the crime as regular in the dog.

In addition, the district surgeon Basavaraju who claimed that the seer had developed heart complications, has been identified as a suspect.

The court also denied the request of Seer’s counsel to provide him with ‘Saatvik food and instead requested authorities to provide him with regular food items in prison.

The second suspect in the trial, the hostel warden Rashmi was taken to a 14-day judicial detention and then transferred to the Shivamogga central jail, as there’s no jail for women in Chitradurga.

The police are looking for three suspects including minor pontiff Basavaditya Swamiji, who has been disappearing.

They’ve filed anticipatory bail application in front of the court.

The day before, the seer accused fell down in the courtroom and wept when the judge gave him police custody, according to sources.
