The curfew will continue for 10 weeks from 10pm on Friday to 5am on Monday.

Theatres, malls, pubs and bars will be allowed to operate at 50 per cent capacity and no meetings will be allowed in public places, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said.

He said schools in Bangalore would be closed for two weeks from January 6 except classes 10 and 12.

State Chief Minister Basavaraju Bommai recently announced that a curfew would be imposed at night for ten days from December 28.Karnataka is one of the states with the highest number of Omicron cases in the country.The state government of Delhi has also imposed a weekend curfew.

Here, too, corona cases are on the rise.On Tuesday (4 January 2021) about 5,500 Covid-19 cases were reported in Delhi.In Delhi, the infection rate rose to 8.37 per cent.According to figures released by the Ministry of Health at 4 pm, 5481 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.At the same time, 1575 people recovered and three died.

So far 14,63,701 patients have been diagnosed with corona in Delhi.Of these, 14,23,699 people recovered & 25,113 people died.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal also tested corona positive.Meanwhile, the Delhi government has set up 2992 Containment zones across Delhi.
