Kangana Ranaut, a well-known Indian actress, shared her thoughts on the recently released movie “The Kerala Story,” which has stirred up controversy.The movie was directed by Sudipto Sen and stars Adhah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani, and Sonia Balani.
The film tells the story of a group of Keralan women who convert to Islam and join the radical Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The movie’s trailer caused a massive uproar, with several political leaders calling for its ban.However, the High Court ruled that the film could not be banned.Kangana Ranaut, who had not yet watched the film, commented on the controversy surrounding it.She stated that “anyone who feels attacked by the film is a terrorist.”
Kangana Ranaut further explained that the film only portrays ISIS in a bad light and does not attack any specific individuals or groups.She pointed out that ISIS is a terrorist organization, and calling them terrorists is not a personal opinion but a fact.The Ministry of Home Affairs and other countries have also declared ISIS a terrorist organization.
Kangana Ranaut added that if someone believes that ISIS is not a terrorist organization, then they are themselves a terrorist.She was referring to those who feel personally attacked by the film’s portrayal of ISIS.Kangana stated that the High Court, which is the country’s most responsible body, has ruled that the film cannot be banned.Therefore, if anyone has an issue with the film’s content, they should re-evaluate their own beliefs and stance on terrorism.
