By Avinash Prabhakar New Delhi, Sep 11 : In the past few days, a number of incidents have been revealed in which a man fell from an attack, and died.In a case in the Uttar Pradesh city of Bareilly a man who was 48 years old died following an accident when he was thrown down while dancing at an event for birthdays.
In one of these incidents, Yogesh Gupta, a resident of Jammu collapsed and died on the stage in the middle of his performance.Numerous incidents of this kind have been documented in the past few years, that have led to a new debate on whether such incidents are increasing in the post-Covid age.
It’s not always an attack on the heart, says Dr.(Prof) Tarun Kumar, Professor of Cardiology, RML Hospital. While speaking to IANS, he said, “We see people making these kinds of statements frequently when someone suffers from an issue with their heart. However, they are not synonyms”.
“A heart attack happens when the flow of blood to the heart is stopped and sudden cardiac arrest happens when the heart is damaged and suddenly ceases to beat. The heart attack is a “circulation” issue and sudden cardiac arrest can be a ‘electrical issue’, said Dr.Kumar.
Sudden cardiac arrest may occur after a heart attack or during recovery.
Heart attacks can increase the risk of sudden cardiac arrest. The majority of heart attacks don’t cause an abrupt cardiac arrest.
However, when sudden cardiac arrest happens heart attack is the most frequent trigger, he said.
Dr.
Kumar added that other heart diseases can also disrupt the rhythm of the heart and lead to sudden cardiac arrest. This includes a thickened heart muscle (cardiomyopathy) arrhythmias, heart failure, particularly ventricular fibrillation, as well as the long Q-T syndrome.
He added that cardiac arrest can be reversed in the event that it’s dealt with within a couple of minutes.Contact emergency medical assistance and begin CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) as soon as you can and then continue until medical emergency services arrive.
When you perform hands CPR the chance of survival increase to triple or double and CPR performed by a person in the vicinity could be lifesaving in the event of cardiac arrest in a hospital, he said.
With the increase of cases of this kind post-Covid, he said this is mostly due to of two factors.
One is due to of the increase in the rate of heart attack or cardiac arrest in the general population, as physical activity level was decreased during the Covid era , and even after, and secondly due to the fact of the accessibility of mobile phones with cameras or CCTV footage, these instances in no time are reported on the Internet and spread to the world the Dr Kumar said.
In addition to heart-related diseases, the epidemic has brought about a range of physical, emotional, and economic problems.
The emerging literature on post-Covid highlights the effects of different trauma-related stressors that are related to Covid-19, which has already caused a variety of mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety posttraumatic stress disorder and other stress-related trauma diseases that adversely affect those who treat frontline warriors as well as the patients.
“Declining mental health is a silent problem in India and urban living is one of the the primary causes.
In the midst of health employees’ emotional burden of caring for the sick and their mental health is less taken care of, negatively impacting their physical and mental health.Their unpredictable and unpredictable schedules of work with long hours of work and exposure to human suffering often result in mental burnout and mental blockage,” said Deepak Sharma Co-Founder and CEO of MedLern.
When health experts seek treatment for addiction or mental health issues they are often viewed as untrustworthy and unpredictable. The psychological, emotional and social health of a person is crucial.
The key is how we react to stress, he said.
