Los Angeles, Aug 27 : The next album from The Beatles to receive remixes and bonus-packed boxed-set treatment is ‘Revolver.Apple Corps, not to be confused with Apple Inc, and Universal Music have confirmed that an extravagant commemoration of the release of 1966similar to those Beatle boxes that came before it, will also feature an Giles Martin remix — is in the works for this fall, according to “Variety”.
An official announcement isn’t expected until sometime in September at which point details on the content of the deluxe package and the release date will be announced.
Based on ‘Variety’ “Revolver” had been widely speculated by viewers as being the next in the series.
The set-ups and remixes in the series began with 1967’s “Sgt.Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ and continued chronologically with 1968’s White Album as well as 1969’s ‘Abbey road and, the last year 1970’s ‘Let It be’.
After reaching the close of the Beatles tour as an ensemble with the release of their last album it was only natural that the series would revisit ‘Revolver’, the album prior to the release of ‘Sgt.Pepper and perhaps work backwards in the time since thenbut the keeper of the Beatles catalog are always hesitant from giving any plans for the coming decades in advance.
