Kabul 11 Aug : Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani (a prominent Taliban person was killed in an apparent suicide attack at the seminary in Kabul on Thursday, when the attacker set off explosives in the prosthetic leg, according to Taliban sources and authorities.The deputy spokesperson for the Taliban, Bilal Karimi, confirmed the authenticity of the incident and said that the explosion occurred in the Shash Darak area of Kabul’s Police District 2 “martyred” Sheikh Rahimullah Haqqani, Khaama Press reported.
He was previously an alleged victim of the Islamic State (IS) group but it is not clear who killed the man, as no group has claimed the responsibility.
Sheikh Haqqani was a firm opposer of the Islamic State Khorasan Province (IS-K) and a steadfast fan of the Taliban administration Khaama Press reported.
He was one of the Taliban officials who favored the educational needs of women as well as girls.in an BBC interview he declared that there is no justification in Sharia law prevents female education.
