For eight years, China has been the largest industrial robot market in the world.
This country is now trying to increase its production robot density by at least two-thirds of its current level by 2025.
Wang Weiming (a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology official) stated that the goal was to have the homegrown components reach international standards by 2025.
For the first time, China’s robots industry saw its operating income surpass 100 billion Yuan ($15.7billion) in 2020.
According to the International Federation of Robotics, global industrial robot installation will rebound and increase by 13 percent annually to 435,000 units in 2021 – despite the pandemic.
According to the report, China expects high-end robots from all sectors to be used, such as railway, mining and logistics.
The report cited data from China’s National Bureau of Statistics and noted that China’s cumulative production of industrial robots grew by 49% year-over-year.
