New Delhi, Nov 28, : Punjab’s Rajveer Sing Gill won a triple-gold day at the New Moti Bagh Gun Club, Patiala.He claimed the skeet men, skeet senior men and junior men’s skeet teams titles at the 64th National Shooting Champion Competitions (NSCC), in Shotgun events.Indian Navy’s Kiran Ankush Jadhav defeated Indian No.1 Aishwarypratap Singh Tomar was among the others who won gold in the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions (3P).
Aishwary made up for it by winning the junior men’s 3P title late in the day.
Rajveer, who was qualified for the shoot-off in qualification, claimed the sixth and final spot.He had a score of 119 and three other competitors.
He was at his best in the 60-shot final, hitting a scorching 56 targets and leaving R’jasthan’s Anantjeet Sing Naruka in silver with 52-hits.
Two-time Olympian Seasoned Mairaj Ahmed Khan won bronze with a score 45.
Kiran Jadhav won the 3P finals field in Bhopal.It featured the best of India in business.His four final shots were scores 10.9, 10.9 and 10.8 respectively.He logged 455.7, beating Niraj Kumar (a silver-winning effort with 455.3).
Aishwary Tomar won the bronze with 444.4 points, ahead of Olympians Chain Singh (fourth) and Sanjeev Rajput (fifth).
