New Delhi, Nov 20, : .A police official in Delhi said that a Nigerian citizen with Heroin was arrested by the Police.The Heroin is worth Rs 2.35 crore on international markets.DCP Dwarka Sankar Choudhary provided details.She said that information about an African National who was involved in drug supply came to her on Friday.
A police force was formed to raid the specified location.A police team arrived at the location around 3.05 pm on Friday to find one African National looking for help.He tried to run away from the police officers who tried to capture him.Choudhary stated that he was defeated after only a short chase.
The accused was eventually identified as Prince Chinecherem.He is a Nigerian resident.According to the police, all legal procedures as required under NDPS Act had been completed and a search conducted according to NDPS Act.One white color polythene containing some brown powder was found.”The substance recovered looked like Narco, and had characteristics of Heroin or Smack,” said a senior official.The substance was then identified later as Heroin 280gm.
Police have opened a case under Section 21 of the NDPS Act and are continuing to investigate.
