New Delhi, Aug 22 : The Delhi Police have beefed up security at the Singhu border in the capital city in anticipation of the demand by farmers to protest against the Jantar Mantar.The Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements to prevent unwanted incident.
Every vehicle and person is being scrutinized at the Singhu border.
The Delhi Police said the gathering of the farmers could lead to traffic problems and potentially dangerous incidents throughout the capital city and, therefore, they have made security arrangements.
Police officers are deployed throughout the capital city, mainly at the border in large numbers.In addition Delhi Police has also put up barricades at the borders.

Dependra Pathak Special Commissioner of Police, Law and Order She said that they are urging farmers not to gather at Jantar Mantar in the capital.
The police said they were informed the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) and several farmer groups have arranged to hold a Mahapanchayat in the Jantar Mantar.
“They will choose to travel through the outer Delhi for their journey to Jantar Mantar.
With in mind the severity of this situation, we’ve constructed a barricades to stop any untoward events.An extensive number of police officers have been stationed at border zones and intersections with railway tracks” police said.Police added.
The Delhi Metro has also been placed on high alert, as well as the Police will also be stationed there.
According to the official report according to official information, the farmer’s director Rakesh Tikait was detained by police on the Ghazipur border, as he was heading to Jantar Mantar.
Tikait was requested to return by police.
If he did not respond the police detained Tikait and he was later transported to Madhu Vihar police station.
