Kolkata 11 August : After the summons of eight Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from West Bengal for questioning in New Delhi between August 21 between August 21 and August 31, Enforcement Directorate (ED) sleuths have also summoned five Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers from the state.One of the five IAS officers is B.P.Gopalika who is currently the additional chief secretary of the state personnel and administrative reforms department.The department is under the direction of the chief minister of the state Mamata Banerjee.Four other IAS officers are based in high-ranking posts in the two districts of West Bengal – West Burdwan and Purulia – believed to be the epicenters of the illegal trade in coal.
As with the other eight IPS officers Five officers have also been requested to attend the ED’s headquarters in New Delhi between August 21 between August 21 and August 31.
