By Samuel Baid London Sep 1, : Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is organizing a week-long event in England to commemorate the first anniversary of the death of charming Syed Ali Shah Geelani, who, after swearing to the Constitution of India to contest the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, died yearning to join Pakistan.But, his personal possessions, including his loose Pyjama or salwar made they were shipped to Pakistan as souvenirs.
The ISI uses the name of an organization called Tehreek-iKashmir UK to organize the Geelani memorial week.Tehreek-i-Kashmir is one of the organisations that the ISI has created in certain of the European countries to promote anti-Indian propaganda under the guise of advocating Kashmiris’ rights.
On the anniversary of the first death what kind of reference is made to Geelani’s memorabilia isn’t known, but one can keep one’s fingers crossed in the light of the way in which Pakistan offered its leaders.For instance Father of the country Jinnah died in 1948 in mysterious circumstances.

The goal of the week-long program of paying tribute to Geelani is to present his image as someone in the global freedom movements.However, Geelani was a person who distinguished himself with his sharp tongue but not as a freedom fighter.
A message to Farooq Khan, the ISI officer in charge of Kashmir issues, is titled “Shaheed Syed Ali Shah Geelani – Remembrance is the hallmark of resistance of freedom movements around the globe”.The week-long programme will focus on the “Geelani’s fight for freedom in Pakistan”.
The letter calls for Kashmiris to purchase books by Geelani organize conference, corner meetings rallies, candle-light programs and music shows, and carry out initiatives for philanthropy and to establish research centers in Geelani’s honor.
