Low- and mid-level advisers who were employed in the White House during Trump’s presidency were subpoenaed in the last week.

Trump’s administration did not respond promptly to inquiries for clarification on the issue.

The former president established “Save America” only days before the 2020 elections, in which Trump was defeated by Joe Biden.

The group’s political actions have since racked up more than $100 million.

The probe comes just one month after Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agents conducted a search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

In the past the same day, a Federal judge in Florida has ordered a “special master” to be appointed in order to look into more than 11,000 documents seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

The seizure and search was part of an DOJ inquiry into whether or not the former president unlawfully kept national defense documents at Mar-a-Lago and whether he blocked government efforts to gain access of documents.

On the social networks, Trump said the FBI raid had transformed the US into an “banana republic” instead of a nation of law and order.

The FBI declared that it had “probable motive” that justified a search in the belief that it would discover “evidence of obstruction” -which is a crime in the US – in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
