Hyderabad Sep 8, : Another person has died of a suspected bungled-up family planning business in Telangana.The patient was treated in the maternity hospital run by the government in Petla Burj in Hyderabad.
She was transferred to Osmania General Hospital following she was diagnosed with a problem but died while receiving treatment.
However, the reason to the woman’s passing is not known.
Director of Medical Education Ramesh Reddy rushed to Petla Burj hospital and had a meeting with the hospital’s superintendent as well as other medical professionals and officials.
The officials haven’t released with any details on the reason of the death.
The incident was reported shortly after the news of the deaths of four women who underwent Double Puncture Laparoscopy (DPL) at an operation for family planning in Ranga Reddy district.
Another thirty women were also treated in hospitals for infections.
The women were undergoing DPL during the female sterilization camp held on August 25 , at the Civil Hospital in Ibrahimpatnam in Ranga Reddy district.
Four of them complained of acute gastroenteritis.One died during treatment.
The government has revoked the licences of the surgeons who performed the surgery.It also put the hospital’s superintendent of the hospital on a lifetime suspension for life.
The government also had requested an inquiry by the Director of Public Health Dr G.Srinivasa Rao.
