Los Angeles, Aug 14 : The TV series ‘The fall Guy’ was already a show with the power of a star with Ryan Gosling and David Leitch.The show has now added another name to its roster.Hollywood celebrity Emily Blunt is set to co-star with Gosling in the show that has the date of March 1, 2024 as the release date, according to Deadline.
The feature film is influenced by the 1980s television series of similar name.
It is directed by Leitch who will produce with his partner Kelly McCormick via their 87North together with Guymon Casady, who will produce through Entertainment 360.
According to Deadline, Drew Pearce, who was a co-creator with Leitch in Universal’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, wrote the script and is executive producer.
Gosling will also be producing.Geoff Shaevitz and original series creator Glen A.Larson will direct the production.Matt Reilly will oversee the project on behalf of Universal.
The film’s production is scheduled to begin in Australia in the autumn.
Deadline adds that following the action-packed roles in films like “Edge of Tomorrow and ‘A Quiet Space franchise This series offers Blunt another action movie franchise she can get her teeth into.
This film is a chance to celebrate a reunion between Blunt as well as Universal following the fact that she recently completed production on the Christopher Nolan movie ‘Oppenheimer’ that also stars Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr.and Matt Damon.Blunt was seen a few years back in the Disney film “Jungle Cruise” with Dwayne Johnson.She is currently filming for the Netflix drama “Pain Hustlers” alongside Chris Evans.
