Jerusalem, November 21st : , Israel’s first shipment of Covid-19 vaccines to children has arrived, according to a state-owned media outlet.This news comes just before the vaccination campaign targeting children between five and 11 years old. According to a Friday announcement by Premier Naftali Bennett, the vaccination campaign will begin in November 23.
Nearly one million doses of Pfizer vaccine were shipped from Leipzig, Germany to Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv.These vaccines will later be distributed throughout the country to all health maintenance organizations.
According to Xinhua, the Israeli Health Ministry’s Expert Panel had recommended that children be vaccinated.
The Ministry’s specialists will discuss vaccination of children with the virus recovered and giving an additional booster shot for adolescents 12-15 years old on Sunday.
